Everything we sell is licensed under the GPL — the same open-source license WordPress itself uses — which is exactly what makes redistributing it legal and what gives you so much freedom.
The GNU General Public License (GPL) is the open-source software license that the overwhelming majority of WordPress themes and plugins are built on. WordPress core itself is released under the GPL, and because themes and plugins are derivative works that build on WordPress, they generally inherit the GPL too. That is not a loophole — it is how the WordPress ecosystem is designed to work.
The GPL is built around four core freedoms that travel with every copy of the software:
The GPL explicitly permits redistribution, including for a fee. We are not selling you the software license — that license is free and stays free under the GPL. What you pay for is the service around it: careful curation of trustworthy products, reliable hosting, fast and dependable downloads, regularly refreshed versions, and a single account that keeps everything in one place. The code is open; the convenience is what we provide.
Because of the freedoms above, your rights here are genuinely broad:
We want to be upfront so there are no surprises. A GPL download does not include:
These are legitimate GPL redistributions — the genuine, unmodified files as released under their open-source license. They are not "nulled" or "cracked" software, and we do not inject malicious code, backdoors, or tampered files. If you come to rely heavily on a particular theme or plugin, we strongly encourage you to support the original developers by purchasing directly from them — it funds the ongoing work that benefits the whole community.
